Phil’s love for building started back in high school and only grew stronger through college, where he earned his business degree from Cornerstone University. What began as a passion turned into Muston Construction in 1994, and for more than 30 years he’s been creating award- winning custom homes for families across the Greater Grand Rapids.

Myeeda oversees the daily operations of our office and plays a key role in ensuring every client’s experience with Muston Construction is seamless and enjoyable. Originally from Brazil, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications, she has been an integral part of Muston Construction since its very beginning.

Married to Phil, Myeeda shares his passion for building not only beautiful homes but also lasting relationships with the families they serve. Clients often meet her alongside Phil in early planning meetings, where she helps translate ideas, answer questions, and make sure every detail of the process feels clear and approachable.

Her greatest joy is seeing clients feel comfortable, heard, and cared for from the first conversation to the day they move into their new home. With her thoughtful attention and kind presence, Myeeda helps turn what can sometimes feel overwhelming into an exciting and rewarding journey. She believes that building a home is as much about the experience as it is about the finished product.

Wendy is the friendly guide who helps clients navigate the many details of building a home. She keeps families updated on the construction schedule, communicates about selections, and acts as the link between clients, suppliers, and showroom assistants. With Wendy’s help, clients always know their options—and what those options mean for both design and budget.

Her warmth and genuine care shine through in every interaction. Wendy takes the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure clients feel confident in the decisions they make along the way. She understands that building a home is more than just a process—it’s a personal journey.

Wendy knows this firsthand because she was once a Muston Construction client herself. In 2012, she and her family built their home with Phil and Myeeda, and she experienced what it felt like to be supported and cared for throughout the process. Rick has been an important part of Muston Construction for nearly a decade, serving as one of our trusted project managers. With his background and education in cabinetry construction, Rick brings a level of expertise that sets our homes apart. Since Muston Construction custom builds its cabinetry, Rick plays a key role in ensuring every piece reflects the exceptional quality our clients expect.

Beyond his technical knowledge, Rick is known for his kindness, reliability, and strong communication skills. He works closely with clients and trade partners to keep projects running smoothly, always making sure expectations are clear and progress stays on track.

Keith has been a cornerstone of Muston Construction for more than 23 years. As one of our senior project managers, he brings vast knowledge and experience in residential construction, along with a proactive approach that keeps projects running smoothly. Keith meticulously studies plans and construction documents, always working ahead of schedule to anticipate and solve potential challenges before they arise.

Known for his sharp eye and attention to detail, Keith is committed to achieving the best outcome in every situation. His decades of experience make him a trusted resource and a wealth of knowledge for both our team and our clients.

But Keith isn’t just about precision and problem-solving—he’s also known for his sense of humor and approachable personality. He has a way of making clients feel at ease, turning what could be a stressful process into a positive experience. Heather keeps the administrative side of Muston Construction running like clockwork. Working closely with Wendy and Myeeda on project pricing, Heather brings her sharp organizational skills, attention to detail, and calm, collected approach to every task. Nothing rattles her—her steady presence gives both our team and our clients confidence that everything is under control.

Heather is always looking for ways to improve processes and keep the office operating efficiently, but she does it with a warmth and friendliness that makes her approachable and easy to work with. Cassia keeps the financial side of Muston Construction running smoothly, overseeing payroll and ensuring every project’s expenses and payments are meticulously tracked. With her keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills, she catches the small things before they become big problems, keeping both our team and our clients on track.

She communicates regularly with clients, providing weekly updates through our project management software on project progress. She works closely with our project managers and Phil to document meetings, decisions, and project milestones. Cassia’s careful attention to documentation and communication helps the office stay organized and ensures every project moves forward efficiently.

Cassia keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, giving clients and the team alike confidence that nothing is overlooked. Her reliability, thoughtfulness, and dedication make her an invaluable part of Muston Construction.

As our Director of Operations, Amanda Tavares is the force that keeps Muston Construction moving as a high-performance, well-oiled machine. With a professional background in the legal field, Amanda brings an exacting eye to our agreements, insurance compliance, and essential documentation—ensuring every legal detail is handled with absolute precision.

Beyond the paperwork, Amanda serves as the central hub of our team, seamlessly coordinating communication between our office staff and project managers in the field. Justin works with our trade partners and suppliers to create accurate estimating for your project.  He also helps us transition your home from a design concept into a physical reality as our lead for project logistics. He handles the complex and vital "heavy lifting" that happens behind the scenes navigating the intricate permitting process with local municipalities and coordinates directly with utility companies to ensure your site is fully serviced and ready for construction.

Beyond the paperwork, Justin is the creator of our construction schedules. He meticulously builds the timelines that keep our trade partners synchronized and your project moving forward without delay. By managing these critical technical milestones, Justin ensures that the path to your new home is clear, compliant, and stays strictly on track.
