Phil’s love for the building process got it's spark when he was in high school taking classes at the local skills center. He worked construction jobs through college and earned a business degree from Cornerstone University. His passion turned into Muston Construction in 1994 where he became an award-winning custom home builder in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

You will see Phil in person at your job site from beginning to end. His eye for detail and commitment to excellence in craftsmanship will ensure that your home is built well. He has built relationships with trade contractors and suppliers who share our uncompromising approach to quality construction and customer service. These relationships and his experience and will ensure your custom home or extensive remodel project is built in an efficient and cost-effective way that never sacrifices quality. He will communicate with you directly about the progress of your project to ensure your satisfaction.

Mayra manages our office staff overseeing the paperwork side of the process. Along with our Selection Coordinators, she is an excellent source of interior design ideas for our customers. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications in Brazil, where she is originally from. She has been with Muston Construction since its inception in 1994. Her years of experience in the industry will give you confidence that you will be kept in the loop with reports, attention to detail and availability to answer your questions. She is always working to ensure that our customers feel comfortable and receive the attention they deserve at every step of the way.

Wendy went from client to part-time employee in 2012. She became our Interior Design Assistant. Her eye for style has become a part of the Muston Construction experience. Today her job description has expanded to include coordinating all parts of the selection process for clients as well as working in the office with Myeeda and Heather to keep the paperwork flowing smoothly. Wendy's smiling face and creative direction will assist you in making selections that are the best version of your style.

Rick is our Project Manager. His responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. He is a master carpenter and has his hand and eye in the designing and building of all of our custom cabinetry and trim. His natural ability to lead helps him oversea our team of carpenters and sub-contractors in the completion of your project.

Heather has her hand in a lot of behind the scenes areas here at the office. She keeps our office organized, and all the bills paid. Handles payroll, employee and sub-contractor files, and keeps our customer files updated for reporting.  She also has a great eye for design and has stepped in to help with the selection process from time to time.

Marcellus is a tenacious and conscience carpenter who works hard to keep the building process organized. He is always looking to what they can change to make building a better process. He loves to design and bring to life our custom built-ins.

Brayden started in rough carpentry and is very knowledgeable about the framing process. He has more recently moved into the trim carpentry area where he continues to hone in on his skills. He is quality minded and he and the team can turn any design you find online into a reality in your home.
